Impressive display of muscle at 4th Annual Northwest Collector Car Auction May 28th
A 1967 Shelby GT500 Super Snake headlines the 4th Annual Northwest Collector Car Auction May 28th.
Pasco, WA – Trucks and Auto Auctions and owners Jake & Josh Musser have announced the 4th Annual Northwest Collector Car Auction to take place on Saturday, May 28, 2022 beginning at 12 Noon.
Highlighting the most highly anticipated auction from the Musser family is an extraordinary legend of muscle – The 1967 Shelby GT500 Super Snake. The rarity of the 1967 Shelby is astonishing and the opportunity to own it is what car collectors dream of and beat all other classic Ford Mustangs in terms of collectability. With only ten ever made, the 1967 Shelby GT500 Super Snake being offered sets the auction apart from any other.
Shelby American reintroduced the 1967 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake muscle cars in 2018 and only 10 were built. Truck and Auto Auctions is offering #3 of the 10 genuine Shelby continuation cars built and the very first one ever to be for resale. Out of the 10, five were shipped out of the country and one is owned by Jay Leno. The collector car is finished in a Wimbledon White with GT500 side stripes and Guardsman blue Super Snake striped. The car comes with full documentation including Marti report, certificate of authenticity, build sheet, pre-delivery service sheet and photos.
As for history on the legendary Shelby, there was only one original ever built by Carroll Shelby using lightweight medium raiser racing 427 engine, HD front disc brakes, Detroit locker rear end, rear traction bars and special Goodyear tires. It also had sported unique triple stripes and a redesigned grille for improved cooling. Carroll Shelby personally drove the original car on the test track and was clocked at 170 mph. At that time Shelby decided not to produce any others because they were so expensive to build. Now over 50 years later Shelby decided to build only 10 cars from original 1967 Fastback Mustangs.
The 4th Annual Northwest Collector Car Auction will also offer over 50 other collector cars of unique and extraordinary value and provenance. Among the other highlights are a 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Convertible; a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro; a 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Coupe; a 1936 Ford Two Door Sedan; a 2021 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko; a 1965 International Scout 80 Hardtop; a 2020 Chevrolet Corvette 2LT; a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Roadster; a 1947 Chevrolet COE Tow Truck and much more.
