LAS VEGAS, NV - The Las Vegas Team Shelby Bash will make history as the four day festivities include, for the first time, an all makes and models performance car show on April 27 held under the banner of “Make American Muscle Cars Great Again.” The car show will be the closing event of the annual gathering at the Shelby American headquarters in Las Vegas.
“Demand for American performance cars is surging again, which has fueled rumors that the Camaro and HEMI powered MOPARs are returning,” said M. Neil Cummings, Esq, Co-CEO of Carroll Shelby International, Co-President of the Carroll Shelby Foundation and CEO of Carroll Shelby Licensing. “As the only company that has worked with the Detroit ‘Big Three’ to build muscle cars and trucks, we want to encourage their return. The purpose of the ‘Make The American Muscle Car Great Again’ show is to remind automakers that the public continues to embrace this performance culture. Enthusiasts are encouraged to join us and ignite a new golden era of muscle cars.”
Over the past 60+ years, the Shelby name has become synonymous with automotive performance. The company relocated the Shelby American facility to Las Vegas in the early 1990s, expanding their manufacturing operation over time. Tours of the facility, a heritage center and retail store attract tens of thousands of people to Nevada each year.
The Team Shelby Bash from April 24-27, will celebrate a trio of important American performance milestones, as well as the American muscle car. Members of the Shelby family, Shelby executives, international guests and automotive celebrities are scheduled to attend four days of festivities in Las Vegas. Full-throttle activities during the annual event will include displays of Shelby vehicles, parties, tours, a poker run, scavenger hunt, the “Make The American Muscle Car Great Again” car show and more.
For the first time in history, Shelby is inviting owners of all American muscle cars to participate in the Sunday Team Shelby car show. The event will be open to all performance vehicles, honoring the uniquely American class of muscle cars. Car clubs for Camaro, MOPAR, Corvette, Pontiac etc., are invited to attend the event and display their performance vehicles.
The Shelby sponsored “Make The American Muscle Car Great Again” show will feature awards for various categories, including Largest Club in Attendance. The public can attend the show at no cost.
Those who wish to enter their vehicle in the show will pay a small fee, which benefits the Carroll Shelby Foundation. In return, they will be treated to breakfast and receive an American flag, discount voucher for Carroll Shelby’s Store and more. The show promises to be the perfect way to cap off the event.
The “Make The American Muscle Car Great Again” show will also include a fundraising opportunity for the Carroll Shelby Foundation. Established by the legendary Carroll Shelby in 1991, the charity moved from California to Las Vegas in 2024. CSF helps kids win the race for life through financial support for families facing serious medical issues as well as funding auto tech school scholarships. Foundation scholarships have benefited students in the College of Southern Nevada’s automotive technology program.
