The threat of storms couldn’t hold back the pint-sized cars and BIG fun at the Micro/Mini Car World Meet
After a soggy start, micro and mini-cars shone on the Gilmore Museum’s grounds at the Micro/Mini Car World Meet this past weekend.
The Gilmore Museum was the epicenter of the micro and mini-car world June 18-19. For the first time in 11 years, small car enthusiasts got together to celebrate with a Micro/Mini Car World Meet, and the grounds in Hickory Corners surrounding the Gilmore proved to be a perfect venue.
After a soggy start on Saturday morning, cars slowly began to populate the showfield as the dark clouds and rain slowly made their way out of the area. In the afternoon, car owners buzzed around the oval track surrounding the showfield and gave spectators rides that left everybody smiling. The event also included a Meet and Greet Friday night in downtown Kalamazoo and a 5-day Microcar 500 driving tour from Nashville, Tenn., to the show grounds.
