Newly formed North American Brooklin Collectors Club announces first major event

A new club dedicated to collectors of Brooklin Models has been created specifically for the North American market. The NABCC will kick-off with a big event planned for November 19 & 20, 2021 titled NABCC1 in Allentown, PA.

A new club dedicated to collectors of Brooklin Models has been created specifically for the North American market. The North American Brooklin Collectors Club (NABCC) will work side-by-side with the original Brooklin Collectors Club (BCC) based in the UK. The two clubs will be separate but coordinate activities and information.

The NABCC will kick-off with a big event planned for November 19 & 20, 2021 titled NABCC1. To be held at the world renown NB Center for American Automotive Heritage in Allentown, PA, USA. This event will feature the world debut of the all-new NB Center line of Brooklin models with an unveiling of six models, four of which will be beside the cars they are based upon. These first six models are just the beginning of a series of models based on cars in The NB Center collection. The NB Center models will feature higher levels of detail than the standard lines from Brooklin.

In recognition of the new club, Brooklin is producing a special edition model exclusively for club members. A 1956 Buick Century convertible with both top up and top down options in Dover white over Seminole red. This limited-edition car model will also include a scale NABCC Brooklin street sign. This model set is available for immediate pre-order and is restricted to members of the new club.

The inaugural event in November will take place on the NB Center grounds and include tours of select parts of the extensive NB Center collection and shops, opportunities for rides in cars and even the chance to bid on being able to drive select cars from the collection.

Also in the planning stages are visits to the America on Wheels Museum and a dinner at a location as yet to be announced. Other museum visits are being organized. There will be presentations and discussions on subjects of interest to model collectors and a trade show display. Brooklin model principles Simon Elford and or Keith Williams along with Brooklin employee and social media influencer Julie Evans are slated to appear in person if pandemic restrictions allow them to travel to the US.

Attendance at this inaugural event is limited. Pre-registration is required but some walk-in registration may be possible depending on pre-registration numbers. In accordance with The NB Center policy, all guests must show proof of vaccination and wear masks while inside buildings.

The NABCC Facebook page may be found at https://www.facebook.com/groups/ nabrooklincc. A website and newsletter will soon follow.
