Mecum returns to Indy on October 29-31

Walworth, WI - Mecum Auctions announced the addition of another live classic and collector car auction to be held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis this Oct. 29-31. This newly added event for 2020 has been dubbed the Indy Fall Special and is slated to feature an estimated 1,000 vintage and collectible autos ranging from classic American muscle cars to Corvettes, foreign exotic vehicles, Resto Mods and much more.

With record-setting success at its recent 33 annual flagship auction held at the same venue in Indianapolis, Mecum Auctions will once again employ extensive health and safety protocols to provide an extended level of comfort for everyone in attendance at the upcoming October auction.

“Navigating the calendar has certainly been a challenge for everyone in 2020, but our goal has been and will always be to provide our customers with a successful platform to do business by way of a convenient, quality schedule of events to choose from,” stated Mecum Auctions CEO Dave Magers. “After the record-breaking success of the Spring Classic in July coupled with the incredible collaboration on safety procedures with the Indiana State Fairgrounds, we knew immediately that if we needed to adjust our schedule again in 2020, we were coming back to work with our partners in Indy.”

Added protections for live Mecum auctions include mandatory daily temperature checks for all staff, vendors and attendees, required facemasks, plentiful hand sanitizing stations and a layout that encourages social distancing throughout the event and among the auction seating. Enhanced remote bidding options are also available, including for both online and telephone bidding, and those unable to attend the auction and bid in person are encouraged to register for convenient bidding from the comfort of home. At the July Indy auction, online bidding resulted in the successful sale of 346 vehicles for a total of $10.3 million.
