Among the 400+ Corvettes in Kissimmee, none are more rare or desired than this 1971 ZR2 convertible, 1 of only 2 built and the last LS6 454 cid V8’s produced. Slated to run Saturday, watch for an all-time record price.

KISSIMMEE, Fla: Day 8 of 10 and the enthusiasm at Dana Mecum’s 10-day Kissimmee auction is just as strong, if not more so than when it started.

You never know what you are going to see at a Mecum Auction, so today when a kiddie ride coin-op horsey came up for auction, Dana climbed on board and went for a wild ride to the delight of the cheering crowd and his staff.

You simply can’t believe how many cars are at this sale with over 400 Corvettes, thousands of other muscle cars and antiques dating back over 100 years.

Even a Ford or GM fan has to admire this restored service cabinet set, produced by Lincoln Steel Craft and restored in traditional MoPar colors and motif.

Road art is really big at Mecum, this past Monday saw over 600 lots offering everything from neon signs to pedal cars and vintage bicycles to complete service station set-ups were placed on the block and the crowds were strong for this one-day event.

Today is expected to be the strongest day following on Thursday’s performance on nearly $10 million in sales, and Saturday is expected to be the biggest day in Mecum history. With nearly 400 cars on the lists for both days, you are sure to find something you just can’t live without.
