Kissimmee Auction Action: January 23, 2013 – Part 2

Old Cars auction coverage from Kissimmee 2013

Our auction reporter Phil Skinner is reporting live from Kissimmee, Florida… giving you all the auction action at Mecum's huge sale. Check daily for updates!

One of our favorite cars this Wednesday is this 1953 MG-TD roadster which was called sold for a bid of $26,000.

As the 6th day of the Mecum Auction goes into the evening, car deals are everywhere. Nearly 350 automobiles are crossing the block today. So far the high sale has been a BMW Z8 convertible, hammered sold at $100,000. We have seen a lot of great cars today, but one we really fell for was a 1953 MG-TD roadster, right-hand-drive, which sold for $26,000 on the hammer.

Social media is also playing a big part of the Mecum Auction with an average 2,000-2,200 views watching the streaming and over 4,700 followers on Twitter. A lot of vintage car fun in the depths of winter from Kissimmee.

This sharp 1967 Corvette coupe was fitted with 327 V8 with 300 HP, Powerglide and factory air conditioning, hammered sold at $65,000.
