Joie Chitwood III joins Mecum Auctions

Mecum Auctions announced that it will welcome Joie Chitwood III to the Mecum staff as Strategic Advisor for the company. Effective February 10th, the highly experienced and internationally recognized and accomplished motorsports leader will take on an active leadership role in the evaluation and execution of new ventures and business opportunities that Mecum seeks to add to its steadily growing portfolio.

Chitwood is a recognized, executive-level professional in the world of motorsports with a strong and consistent record of operating large-scale events, driving revenue and profit growth across the motorsports industry. He has a B.S. in Finance from the University of Florida and an MBA from the University of South Florida, and he is the former president of the Daytona International Speedway, the former president and chief operating officer of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the former manager of administration for the Indy Racing League, and he most recently served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer of the International Speedway Corporation.
