Hillsborough Concours to display Ford Performance on July 18

The July 18th Hillsborough Concours d’ Elegance has added a special display chronicling the extensive history of Ford Performance.

HILLSBOROUGH, CA –The Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance announced the addition of a special display chronicling the extensive history of Ford Performance. Led by a 1967 Ford GT40 MkIV, the collection will be among 200 cars and motorcycles that will be showcased at Crystal Springs Golf Course in Burlingame on July 18.

Spanning more than a century of Ford manufacturing innovation, the display “will offer Concours guests a first-hand look at the evolution and impact that the Ford brand has had, both on the racetrack and America’s roadways,” explained Chairman Emeritus Rob Fisher. “We are deeply thankful to the owners of these magnificent cars for providing us with the opportunity to display them.”

Listed chronologically, the display will feature:

  • 2000 Mustang Cobra R
  • 2005 Ford GT Serial #2
  • 2014 Shelby GT500
  • 2018 Ford GT

In addition to special displays of this year’s honored Ford and BMW marques, the Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance will feature more than 20 additional “Automobiles of Distinction” groupings. This will American Pre- and Post-War, CCCA Approved Classics, American Sporting Cars Through 1987, Vintage Motorcycles, two Ferrari classes, two imported sports car classes, Japanese cars, a preservation class, two Rolls-Royce and Bentley classes, Shelby GT350’s, imported passenger and touring cars, vintage race cars and arcane and rare cars.

Founded in 1956, the “Longest continually running concours in the world” takes place  on the 18th fairway of the Crystal Springs Golf Course.

The Concours will conclude a memorable weekend of festivities that start on Friday the 16th with a kick-off party featuring 40 vintage and classic cars on display in a historic building in Burlingame. On Saturday, the annual Hillsborough Tour d’Elegance road rally will traverse the Bay Area’s most stunning back roads and scenic vistas led by police escort finishing at a private auto collection for lunch. Partnering with the Town of Hillsborough, The Concours event raises proceeds for Ability Path, The Guardsmen and the Hillsborough Schools Foundation.
