Grand opening set for Lincoln Motor Car Heritage Museum
The Gilmore Car Museum will hold the grand opening of the Lincoln Motor Car Heritage Museum on Aug. 9.
HICKORY CORNERS, Mich. – The Gilmore Car Museum will hold the grand opening of the Lincoln Motor Car Heritage Museum on Aug. 9. The celebration takes place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., with a dedication ceremony at 1 p.m.
All four major Lincoln clubs will be present at the dedication: The Lincoln Owners Club, Lincoln-Zephyr Club, Lincoln and Continental Owners Club and the Road Race Lincoln Register.
The 15,000-square-foot museum exterior design was inspired by an original Lincoln dealership build in the neo classical style in the late 1920s in Detroit. While the Lincoln Motor Car Foundation has raised enough money to build the museum, additional funds are needed to construct the exhibits and displays.
Donations for the museum should be sent to: Jack Shea, Lincoln Motor Car Foundation, 5022 Harbortown Lane, Fort Myers, FL 33919. To learn more about the dedication, call 248-789-9258 or visit http://www.gilmorecarmuseum.org/
