G. Potter King’s Atlantic City Collectible Cars Event Combines Two Auctions and A Car Corral In New Jersey.
The tent poles are down, the cameras have shut off and the bidders and sellers have left Scottsdale, Ariz., area following the end of the frenzied auction action there in January. Now, the spotlight turns eastward for G. Potter King’s Atlantic City Collectible Cars Event in New Jersey Feb. 28 through March 2.
G. Potter King’s event moves cars from buyers to sellers against the high-energy backdrop of Atlantic City’s casinos, where the cars are the safest bets.
This 1936 Chevrolet with sidemounts is one of the many high-quality cars to be offered at The Classics at the Borgata, one of two auctions held by G. Potter King’s Atlantic City Collectible Cars Event in New Jersey Feb. 28 through March 2.
Two very different auctions and a car corral offer three opportunities to take home vintage metal. The most prestigious auction of G. Potter King’s Atlantic City Collectible Cars Event is its Classics at the Borgata event, held Feb. 28 at the Borgata Hotel, Casino and Spa. Here, rarities and high-end cars are the rule of the evening. This year, intriguing vehicles such as a 1952 Muntz, an early-1980s Duntov Turbo Corvette, 1929 Auburn Phaeton Sedan, 1957 Thunderbird, 1970 Plymouth Superbird, 1933 Pierce-Arrow convertible sedan and 1937 Bentley saloon are just a few of the coveted machines to be found in the Classics at the Borgata auction.
Not all of the heavy metal is reserved for the Classics at the Borgata event. At the Atlantic City Classic Car Auction, held Feb. 28 through March 2, an auction docket filled with muscle cars, hot rods and prewar cars mixed with modern collectible vehicles take over the Atlantic City Convention Center. John Chiara of G. Potter King has lined up such cars as a 1912 White, 1991 GMC Syclone, 1956 Lincoln Premiere and 1972 Olds 4-4-2 for this event.
Car-hungry buyers who still do not find that car they’re looking for also have a healthy-size car corral and even a swap meet to pour over indoors within the 20-acre Atlantic City Convention Center.
This February, the fun is in Atlantic City — and that’s the safest bet you’ll find anywhere.
