Buick Gallery update: Business back to normal with Truck & Bus exhibit
FLINT, Mich. – A car crashing into their building this summer did not keep the Sloan Museum’s Buick Gallery down for long. The Gallery was closed for seven days for repairs and reopened for Back to the Bricks on Saturday, Aug. 17. Museum officials say the damage was minimal and nobody was hurt, for which they are very grateful.
Business is in full swing this fall with a Truck & Bus Exhibit featuring trucks from different periods in their environments. Included will be a 1910 Buick delivery truck, a 1963 Chevrolet pickup, a 1940 Futurliner (the No. 10 pictured), a flashy-finned 1959 El Camino and the all-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado.
The Truck & Bus Exhibit is on display until March 30.
Located at 303 Walnut St., the Buick Gallery also features more than 25 classic and concept Buicks, Chevrolets and other locally built automobiles.
