Charlotte Starlets

Event will be held Sept. 13-16, 2007 by the Hornets Nest Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America

Jimmy Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Tony Stewart won't run their "Cars of Tomorrow" NASCAR machines on Lowe's Motor Speedway until October. But before they do, the cars of yesterday will pour into the speedway for one of the hobby's largest events ' the Charlotte AutoFair Fall Meet in Concord, N.C.

The event will be held Sept. 13-16 by the Hornets Nest Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America inside and outside of the track area at the speedway. The event includes more than 8,000 vendor spaces and approximately 1,500 cars in the car corral.

In addition, there will be a Saturday-only AACA-judged show featuring 225 top-quality restored cars built before 1983 and fine unrestored originals. Owners pre-registered for the limited amount of spaces months before the event, guaranteeing an incredible display of automobiles. There will also be youth activities on the show field at 1 p.m. on Saturday to encourage participation in the hobby by young enthusiasts.

Tom Mack Classics will also present its twice-annual Auction @ AutoFair on Sept. 14-15. The auction will offer 200 collector vehicles over the two-day sale, and will be held in the infield garage area of the speedway.

Show officials expect around 150,000 show-goers. To be counted among them, get there early to scoop the deals and see all of the cars.
