The new Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, CA has invited Harley Earl’s General Motors Motarama 1955 Chevrolet Biscayne SO 2249 concept car from the Bortz Auto Collection to be on display for the Gala Grand Opening Dec. 5. The 1955 Chevrolet Biscayne SO-2249 concept car had a unique fiberglass design, and was also the showcase for the introduction for the 1955 Chevrolet V-8 engine.

The Biscayne will be one of three American concept cars on display. The Biscayne will be on display for one year at the all-new Petersen Museum that will only be showing the rarest cars from around the world. The Petersen Museum will have its grand opening on December 5, 2015.

The Bortz Auto Collection was founded by Joe Bortz and has saved more than 40 American concept cars of the 1950s through 2003 of all makes, including the 1955 Chevrolet Biscayne SO-2249 show car. Bortz will be on hand for the grand opening.
