August 27th Cruise-In at the Petersen celebrates the 60th anniversary of the iconic Porsche 911
The Porsche 911 turns 60 and the Petersen Automotive Museum wants to celebrate with a cruise-in on August 27, 2023.
Los Angeles, Calif. - Join the Petersen Automotive Museum in celebrating the 60th anniversary of the iconic Porsche 911 on August 27th at the museum.
WHAT:
The Petersen Automotive Museum will celebrate the anniversary of the Porsche 911’s first public unveiling in 1963 at the Frankfurt International Motor Show with a spectacular Cruise-In dedicated to 911 owners and enthusiasts this Sunday, August 27. In addition to the general Cruise-In gathering, the museum will also select 100 vehicles to participate in a Petit Concours, featuring four categories highlighting some of the most significant iterations and features of 911 over the decades. The categories include: Rennauto (track vehicles), Petersen’s Choice (cars with unique ownership history), Modified and Paint to Sample.

Sunday, August 27, 2023, 8 a.m.-noon PST
DETAILS:
- Attendees will enjoy a new Porsche product preview, a display of 911s from all eras, food, entertainment and a panel discussion.
- The Cruise-In is open to 911 owners and all spectators.
- The Petit Concours will feature a display of 100 distinctive 911s in four categories: Modified, Paint to Sample, Rennauto and Petersen’s Choice.
- Porsche fans in attendance will also receive access to the museum and will be able to visit the We Are Porsche exhibit, presented by Porsche Cars North America, celebrating 75 years of the marque.
