RICHMOND, VA – The East Coast Classic Car Auction announced that along with 150 other classic and exotic vehicles, a 2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition will be auctioned in the September 17th auction.

All 2006 Ford GTs were made as an homage to the Le Mans winning cars of 1966 ,1967, 1968, and 1969. This GT Heritage Edition is 1 of 343 made as a tribute to the 1968 and 1969 Le Mans winning car driven by the JW Automotive Engineering team. Painted in the iconic and highly desirable Gulf-Oil inspired livery of orange and blue, each car was provided with a decal kit for the new owner’s personalization. Underneath the classic look comes modern performance. Power is provided by a 5.4L V8 that sends 550 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a Ricardo 6-speed manual transmission. Ebony leather upholstered seats with carbon fiber structure, Brembo brakes, and BBS lightweight aluminum wheels complete the race car feel.
