Old Cars We’d Buy That: 1978 International Scout
1978 top down International Scout… What’s not to love?
There's so much nostalgia flowing these days for trucks and SUVs from the 1970s and even the '80s. There are just a ton of car lovers out there who have fond memories of square-body Blazers and all varieties of early Broncos. Old Jeep Grand Wagoneers, Toyota Landcruisers and others of their ilk are all feeling the love, too.
This fabulous International would appeal to even the Chevy, Ford and Dodge loyalists. Who doesn't dig an old International rig? This awesome removable-top 1978 Scout is simply one of the coolest machines you'll ever see from that era.
Mecum Auctions will sell this beauty at its Dallas Auction Sept. 8-11, and it will be fun to see what sort of bidding war it touches off. Among its selling points: 345-cid V-8, new paint job, new interior, two-owner Texas truck. According to the listing, it's got 102,000 miles on the clock.
Whoever gets her should be pretty thrilled. And whoever is letting her go is going to have a hard time saying good-bye.
