Old Cars we’d buy that: 1947 Chrysler Town & Country convertible
This ’47 Chrysler T&C convertible is a stunner! It checks off all the boxes. Yeah, we’d buy that!
The market for these babies went through the roof a few years back, and it's pretty much stayed there. We haven't seen as many high-end examples trading hands lately at the bigger auctions, but this spectacular example is sure to turn some heads at Mecum's Indy Auction starting later this week.
It's an award-winning car and had a detailed restoration that was completed about 10 years ago, according to the Mecum listing. Trimmed in Sumac Red with red leather and Tan Bedford cord interior, it's a beauty queen for sure.
This great convertible could well top out over $200,000. It's one of hundreds of amazing cars coming up for bids at Mecum Indy, which is positively stacked, even by Mecum standards. It will be fun to see what this fabulous landmark Chrysler hammers for.
