Edsel faithful convene in Wisconsin for 48th annual International Edsel Club Rally
While you've been working all week, the International Edsel Club has been horsing around Portage, Wis., since July 20 during its 48th annual International Edsel Club Rally, a convention of owners and their rides. Club members have enjoyed tours, a swap meet, impromptu car shows around the Best Western Resort Hotel and Conference Center host hotel and all the camaraderie that comes with such activities.
We caught up with club member Matt McLaughlin yesterday, and he got us up to speed noting that the event's climax will be tomorrow, July 23, at the host hotel when 1958, 1959 and 1960 Edsels will be parked on the Best Western's front lawn as part of the Grand Showcase of Edsels. Club members will also have an Edsel parts auction in the afternoon, and there is also a former Edsel dealer and employee discussion panel from 3-5 pm. During our visit on Thursday afternoon, there were already dozens of Edsels
