New American Classic steel-belted radials

fit collector cars from the '40s, '50s and '60s

You simply cannot beat the look of a bias-ply tire on a car that originally carried them. Bias-ply tires may not ride or handle as well as radials, but for that picture-perfect, out-of-the-showroom look, bias-ply tires are the only choice. Or were, until the announcements of alternatives this year.

Just in time for the 2013 SEMA Show, Coker Tire announced the availability of its new American Classic bias-look whitewall, steel-belted radial tires in a wide range of sizes.

According to Coker Tire, its new American Classic bias-look radial tire offers the tall and narrow profile of a bias-ply tire, combined with the modern qualities of a radial tire. Available in nine sizes, the new line of American Classic radials offer fitment on a number of popular applications, such as the Ford Thunderbird, Chevrolet Corvette, Cadillac and many others. The range of sizes provides options for enthusiasts using 13-, 14- and 15-inch wheels. Coker Tire's variety of sizes also gives hot rodders and custom car builders plenty of options for big-n-little combinations, such as 5.60R15 for the front and 8.20R15 for the rear.

Coker Tire’s new American Classic radials are made in the USA and thoroughly tested for superb quality with true whitewall construction, along with the “pie crust” shoulder and vintage-style tread pattern for an original look. However, the radial internals make it a perfect tire for the road. The Coker Tire American Classic radial is a tubeless tire, but tubes are required on some OEM and reproduction wire wheels.

The new Coker Tire American Classic bias-look radial tire will be available in 2014 in the following sizes: 6.50R13; 7.50R14; 8.00R14; 5.60R15; 6.70R15; 7.10R15; 7.60R15; 8.00R15; and 8.20R15.
