Old Cars Reader Wheels: 1970 Plymouth AAR ‘Cuda
A MoPar gem made for racing. Old Cars spotlights a reader’s 1970 Plymouth AAR ‘Cuda.
Joseph Palka is the proud owner of this breathtaking MoPar. This is what he had to say about his AAR…
"This is my AAR 'Cuda with a 4-speed, matching numbers drivetrain and factory build sheet. It is also a customer ordered car, which most were not. Plymouth had to crank out at least 2500 of these cars to homologate them before Laguna Seca on April 19, 1970 so Dan Gurney's All American Racing team (AAR) could compete with them in the 1970 Trans-Am series. 2724 were built, 1120 of them were four speeds. Regular production started on March 11, 1970 and the last on April 20th. In 1970 these cars competed with Boss 302 Mustangs, Z28 Camaros, Dodge T/A Challengers and AMC Javelins."
