Old Cars Reader Wheels: 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302

Old Cars spotlights a reader’s “barn find” 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302.

Talk about letting the pony out of the barn. Ken Guilliams found his Mustang stabled in a Charlottesville barn.

Ken added this about his prized Ford...

"This Mustang was found in a farmers barn near Charlottesville Va. The Car was outside sitting with a 4 sale sign on it. When we saw it advertised, a friend and I went to see it. I looked at the Vin# and buck tag. He also had the Marti Report. The Mustang drove but needed work to be road worthy so the farmer said he would deliver it if I wanted it. I put down a deposit and paid the rest when he delivered it. We have been working on it since buying it and finally have it where we are happy with it. We have entered the Boss 302 In local shows and have won trophies."

"There were only 861 Grabber Blue Bosses made in 1970. This Mustang was born just before I went to Vietnam. It has the matching numbers drive train which adds to the value."
