Old Cars Reader Wheels: 1966 Chevrolet Corvair Monza

Old Cars spotlights a reader submitted 1966 Chevrolet Corvair Monza

Kevin Thom sent us pics of his Corvairs. Here are the stories behind the Corvairs...

"I thought I would share pictures of the 1966 Corvair Monza convertible I restored for my wife 21 years ago in 1999. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and found our Corvair for sale in SeaTac, Washington on the internet. This Monza interested me because it was highly optioned including factory air conditioning, telescopic steering column, headrests, AM-FM radio, bumper guards, as well as the usual 110 HP engine and powerglide.

The car underwent a complete restoration including all bodywork, mechanical and interior. My wife and I enjoy driving it now that we are retired. This Corvair shares our garage with our other Corvair a 1964 Rampside that still performs occasional truck duties."
