Bruce Steele has a well-traveled Austin-Healey. Read what he has to say about his 3000…

"My Healey was originally purchased by a U.S. Marine stationed in Okinawa, and arrived there in early 1961. The car was shipped to the U.S. when his tour concluded later that year, and was subsequently owned by several other U.S. servicemen before being abandoned in northern California in the 1980s. The car was restored in 1989-1990 in northern California, and was purchased by the prior owner who drove it only some 600 miles over the first 4 years of ownership, and it then sat in his garage for the next 6 years. I purchased it in July, 2000, and had it back on the road by October, 2000. Since then, I've done the engine twice, the second time to my specifications with numerous Denis Welch Racing parts. I've also redone the interior bringing closer to original. The car is pictured in Santiago Canyon in Orange County, California, during a film shoot."
