UPDATE: Virginia House bill to repeal internal combustion engine ban
SEMA SAN is keeping us informed and helping us fight unfair automotive laws. Virginia House advances bill to repeal internal combustion engine ban.
Overview: Lawmakers in Virginia have introduced SAN-supported legislation (H.B.1378) to repeal the law tying the state to California’s motor vehicle emission standards. Under current law, sales of new gas- and diesel-powered vehicles will be banned starting in 2035. The SAN believes that Virginians, not the government, should decide what vehicles are best for them and their families. The House Agriculture, Chesapeake and Natural Resources Committee passed the bill which now awaits consideration on the House floor.
Virginians please contact your legislators to show support for lifting the ban.
