Mercedes 1955 - Beating the Odds to the Constructors Championship Demo Day

Saturday, August 7

In the immediate aftermath of the Second World War, Mercedes-Benz had more pressing matters to attend to than achieving success on the racetrack. Within ten short years, this would all change. Despite almost impossible odds, Mercedes would find themselves alone at the top of the racing world, and then, in the very same year, self-exiled from it. How did this come to be and why did Mercedes leave the sport for almost 20 years?

Join the Simeone and take a closer look at the incredible story of the rise and fall of Mercedes-Benz in what may have been the most impactful year in the history of one of the world’s greatest and best-known automakers.

They Were There - The Simeone Cars that Raced Le Mans Demo Day

Saturday, August 21

For almost 100 years, the 24 Hours of Le Mans has been the pinnacle of sports car racing, and is considered by many to be the most prestigious and important auto race in the world. Instead of focusing on the fastest-machines, Le Mans requires participating teams to balance sporty design and aerodynamics with reliability and endurance. It is a brutal test of driver and machine that pushes both to their limits - and sometimes beyond. Victory brings with it honor to not only the driver, and the team, but also their nation.

Join the Simeone and take a closer look at the Simeone Museum collection cars that actually took part in this iconic competition of speed and skill and share the story of their victories, defeats, and the drivers that made them legendary.

Stirling Moss, The Champion that Wasn’t Demo Day

Saturday, September 18

Throughout his life, Stirling Moss was called the man who made the impossible, possible. In just a seven-year period between 1955 and 1961 Moss would finish the World Championship as a runner-up on four occasions, and in third place three other times. In his 14 year racing career, Moss would notch 212 victories out of 529 races entered, equaling an astonishing 40% win rate. However, despite this incredible record, Moss would leave the sport of racing, having never been a world-champion, despite the fact that he might have given the opportunity.

Join the Simeone and take a closer look at this legendary figure in racing and recount his successes both on, and off the track.
