CARLISLE, PA – In 2019 Corvette introduced us all (in real form – not pictures) to the all-new mid-engine C8 Corvette. It turned heads at national and international auto shows, it helped set records at Corvettes at Carlisle when Team Chevrolet brought 14 of them to showcase, and from August of 2019 to August of 2020, it helped raise thousands of dollars for the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation via special contest sweepstakes. Fast forward just a few months later, and the CMAF is excited to share that the sweepstakes is back…and BETTER THAN EVER!

Available now through 3 p.m. on October 1, 2021 – a special 60th Anniversary Edition Cunningham Corvette. This amazing machine is just one of 60 to be produced and is run number 33 of the batch. The car, as seen in pictures at ChipMiller.org, has every external look as its original namesake did in 1960. In addition, its rear wing carries the #3 branding, a nod to the famed Cunningham Corvette that finished 8th overall in the 1960 24 Hours of Le Mans race and won its class thanks to its drivers, John Fitch and Bob Grossman.

Powered by the aforementioned 8th place overall/1st in its class finish at the ’60 Le Mans race, the story of the Cunningham brand is that of legend too. Cunningham was a racing legend who in 1960 was asked by Corvette engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov his feelings on the Corvette being competitive at Le Mans. Through hard work and perseverance, three cars entered the race, with the #3 car seeing the most success of the group.

“The CMAF was fortunate to host a successful sweepstakes for the first time in 2020, noted foundation president Lance Miller. “The board unanimously voted to host another sweepstakes, so we scouted out various vehicles we felt would fit the bill. As we were hunting for the “perfect car,” the C8 Cunningham Corvette was announced,” continued Miller. “Things are often meant to happen for a reason, and this was surely one of those times! My father’s favorite vehicle of all-time was his 1960 Cunningham Corvette, to have the tribute car come out after 60 years about knocked me over when I first saw the announcement. I quickly shot the idea to our board members and everyone replied with positivity about this spectacular car for our sweepstakes. My father is most certainly looking down smiling with that beautiful and sincere smile his friends and family so sorely miss seeing,” concluded Miller.

Donation amounts vary for entry into the sweepstakes. The base option is $25 and yields 12 tickets. There are $50, $100, $250, $500, $100, $1,500 and $2,500 options too. Each option includes exponentially more entries into the sweepstakes.
