Taking top sales honors at Bonhams was the Lambroghini Miura SV hammered sold at $1,100,000.

Today Bonhams kicked off their 2nd Annual Scottsdale sale at the beautiful Westin Kierland in the northern sector of Scottsdale. A total of 113 automotive lots and over 270 automobilia lots were offered and great success was seen. Looking strictly at the vehicles a total of 113 lots crossed the block with 94 of those declared sold for an 83.2% sell-through rating.

Taking the high-sale at Bonhams was a spectacular 1971 Lamborghini Miura SV coupe, hammered sold at $1,100,000, plus a commission of about $115,000. There was a little bit of something for nearly everybody including a sharp 1957 Pontiac Star Chief hardtop called sold for a bid of $28,000, while a sharp 1961 Corvette with original numbers matching engine for $45,000

Presented in “as found” condition, this blue and white 1961 Corvette seemed like a bargain when the hammer dropped at $45,000 during Bonhams sale in Scottsdale.

Overall this sale raised just over $12 millions plus commissions for a total of 15% for the first $100,000 and 10% there after.

Friday, RM will hold its one-day sale with 89 lots, while Gooding and Company will present 50 lots. Both companies seem to have the cream of the crop.

We really liked this 1959 Pontiac Star Chief hardtop which sold for $28,000 just nickel-and-dime change for this area.
