As the second official day of auction action begins in the Phoenix-Scottsdale area, invited members of the media were treated to a hot breakfast surrounded by some of the hottest cars to cross the auction block at Russo & Steele.
Celebrating their 13th year, is should be a lucky 13 based on the 750 vehicles consigned to this four-day sale that is expected, according to Drew Alcazar, to be their best ever.
During the media briefing the subject of what make a collector car a collector car, Drew basically stated that the real collector cars are the authentic vehicles and they set the market, they are the standard.
Clones, hot rods, customs are all very exciting, but they are really toys, and with few exceptions it will be the authentic numbers matching vehicles that will grow in value and collector interest.
Temperatures are starting to warm up in the Valley of the Sun, maybe the motions of thousands of cars getting ready to cross the block is have a positive effect!
