BOSTON – Car enthusiasts and history buffs in period dress will converge on England in September 2017 when the Goodwood Revival showcases British car racing at its finest. Road Scholar, the nation’s largest educational travel institution, is offering a 20-day learning adventure that includes three days behind the scenes at the Goodwood Revival experiencing historic automobiles and a unique era in time.
The Goodwood Revival, first held in 1998, is staged each year entirely in period dress and is a one-of-a-kind learning experience. Road Scholar takes participants on expert-led field trips to the Jaguar and Morgan car factories, the Brooklands Motor Museum and more. Following the race, participants board the iconic Queen Mary II and continue the fun and learning on an epic voyage across the Atlantic to the Big Apple.
“Americans who love period dress, British culture and cars will love this unique opportunity to experience the world’s largest and most authentic racing and vintage cultural event,” said JoAnn Bell, senior vice president of programs for Road Scholar. The Goodwood Revival is a very popular event that sells out virtually every year and attracts individuals from around the globe to experience racing as it used to be.”
