The RKM Inaugural Classic Car Auction was held on May 4 at the Fair Barn in Pinehurst, N.C. This was held in conjuction with the concours d'elegance also debuting at this prestigious location.

RKM may be new to the auction scene, but not to classic car restoration. They operate a restoration shop in Mooresville, N.C., specializing in restoration work on yesterday's high performance cars.

This was evidenced by the excellent high-quality muscle cars and resto-mods that were offered.

A 1970 Dodge HEMI Charger led the resto-mods at a sale price of $186,000

A 1963 Corvette Stingray was not far behind when the hammer fell at $161,000

A 1961 solid axle Corvette was hard on its heels at $120,000

The ever popular Mustangs proved no slouch in this burgeoning resto-mod market either when a 1966 fastback rang up the cash register for $160,000

Look for a complete report and price/value listings in an upcoming issue of Old Cars Weekly magazine. In the meantime, enjoy these photos from the 'Barn.'
