The Rally for Iola was such a hit in 2020, the Iola Car Show has brought it back with a flea market and swap spaces.
Iola, Wisc./Iola Car Show- When the Iola Car Show was canceled in 2020, the staff held a car cruise to celebrate all things cars. This cruise brought in over 1,000 cars that traveled through surrounding communities. This showcase was a treat for Waupaca County - most volunteers are local and without the Iola Car Show, they could really enjoy the car cruise. It was such a "feel-good" event that it will happen again, this time on September 18th, as a last hoorah before the car show seasons takes a break. All show cars are welcome - there is no cutoff year!
Rally cruise route announced
The Iola Car Show staff has planned a new route for this year's event. "We want to continue to change the route, including different communities that are affected by the show. This year we are reaching into Portage County - one that not only supplies many volunteers, but also where our attendees fill hotels to the brim." Joe Opperman states. This route will take participants south to Scandinavia,West through Amherst & Arnott, then North to Ellis, East through Polonia, Rosholt, Big Falls and Little Falls, then south to Helvetia and finally back to the Iola Car Show grounds for food and music!
New this year for the Rally - a flea market that includes swap and non-auto related items!
Iola is inviting back their swap people and also wants to support the entrepreneurs, independent sellers and homemade items at this event. Executive Director, Joe Opperman states "Iola is known for its incredible swap meet. As that evolves over time, it remains one of the highest quality auto/memorabilia swap meets anywhere in the world, thanks to the incredible vendors. This event will welcome back those swap vendors, but also open the doors to other flea market vendors.
