Lot S95: 1968 Shelby GT500KR Fastback. 12,160 Miles, 10 MCA Thoroughbred Gold Awards

Mecum Auctions will host its second annual classic and collector car auction in Seattle at CenturyLink Field Event Center June 5-6 with an anticipated lineup of 600 American muscle cars, classics, Corvettes, hot rods, Resto Mods and more expected to cross the auction block.

Among the main attractions consigned for the Mecum Seattle auction is the John Wickey Collection, an assemblage of five blue-chip muscle cars highlighted by a 1968 Shelby GT500KR fastback. The car was restored by Mustang Club of America judge Tom Mynes and has captured 10 consecutive MCA Thoroughbred Gold Awards.

Other auction headliners include a Bloomington Gold Survivor Certified 1969 Chevrolet Corvette L88 coupe, one of just 116 produced that year, as well as Seattle’s own Roy Cats Lamborghini Collection of six fine examples of the Italian-made luxury sports cars.

Bidder registration is $100 and includes admission for two for both auction days. General admission tickets are available at the gate for $20 per person, per day; children 12 and younger receive complimentary admission. Doors open each day at 8 a.m. with the auction beginning at 10 a.m.
