Mark your calendars for the 2024 Iola Car Show July 11-13, 2024
The Iola Car Show welcomes back a few friends and adds a few more in 2024.
Iola, Wisc. - The Iola Car Show has had a history of bringing special guests dear to all of our hearts in the past. In 2024 the Iola Car Show, once again, will not disappoint with an impressive list of special guests. The scheduled special guests will include:
- Henry Winkler, Donny Most and Anson Williams of Happy Days will be celebrating 50 years with us!
- Jon Provost of Lassie will be attending for the first time, along with Stan Livingston of My Three Sons.
- Derek Bieri of Vice Grip Garage and Roadworthy Rescues loved Iola so much – he’s coming back!!
- Our returning staples include Emily Reeves of Flying Sparks Garage, Von Hot Rod, Jo Coddington, Greg & Leah Stelse, and Bill “Elvis” Stull!
The theme for 2024 will be "The Meeting of the Muscle"
There has long been debate on what defines a "Muscle Car." The term was originally applied in the mid-1960s to intermediate size two-door, rear wheel drive American passenger cars with a factory high performance, often big block, V-8 engine, from model years 1964-1972.
For the Iola '24 Special Exhibit display, we will stay with the original definition and include factory high performance "Pony Cars," such as Mustang and Camaro, which fit the definition soon after their introduction.
Examples of models we would like to have displayed are: Pontiac GTO, Chevelle Super Sport/SS, Z28 Camaro, Plymouth Roadrunner, GTX, and AAR 'Cuda, Boss 302 and 429 Mustang, AMC Javelin/AMX 390/401, all MoPar Hemi and Wedge 426 and 340/440 Six Pack cars, Dodge Charger, Super Bee, and Challenger, Ford Fairlane GT and Thunderbolt, to name just a few.
Iola is the epicenter for auto enthusiasts in the Midwest, featuring celebrity guests, special vehicle unveilings, national brand sponsor displays, a pinup contest, concerts, and some of the best food around. This world-class event is one of the biggest anywhere, boasting 4,000 swap spaces, 2,400 show cars, 1,600 camping sites and 400 car corral spaces. This show has something for everyone; bring the kids to check out the wide variety of cars, hunt the swap meet for parts and memorabilia, or head out with the girlfriends to dance the night away with concerts and a DJ in the campground! Iola is a bucket-list event for everyone!
