HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. _ The Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival & Concours d’Elegance will continue with events as scheduled, despite recent challenges due to Hurricane Matthew.
“We look forward to welcoming sponsors, participants and attendees to this year’s event,” said Hilton Head Island Mayor David Bennett. “It represents a real opportunity to tell and show the world what ‘Hilton Head Strong’ really means. It’s an opportunity to show how our community has come together in so many ways. Our history has been preserved, our present secured and our future is assured, and you can see it all at the Concours.”
Hilton Head Island businesses and hotels, including the Festival's host hotel, The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa, are fully operational.
The Festival kicks off with the Savannah Speed Classic, Oct. 28 – 30, on the Grand Prize of America road course situated on the property of The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa. The festivities continue on Hilton Head Island Nov. 4 - 6, with the Friday evening Flights & Fancy Aeroport Gala at the Hilton Head Island Airport General Aviation. The Flights & Fancy Aeroport Gala will feature vintage aircraft, live music, food and handcrafted cocktails.

Additionally, a number of specialty exhibits will be on display Saturday and Sunday in the Awards Park at the Port Royal Golf Club including this year’s special exhibit, Life on the Silver Screen with the South Carolina Film Commission. Auctions America will add to Saturday’s excitement with their 2nd annual Hilton Head Island Auction at The Westin starting at 11am.
The Concours d’Elegance will conclude the weekend, taking center stage Sunday, Nov. 6, at the Port Royal Golf Club.
