Gilmore Car Museum turns 50

The Gilmore Car Museum's upcoming “The Donald Gilmore Classic” will feature Pre-War Vehicles, 1896-1942 just like the cars Donald Gilmore was known for collecting. This new show will be held May 21 and be part of a year-long celebration commemorating the Gilmore Car Museum’s 50th anniversary.

Special awards will be given foroldest car, furthest driven, and best dressed (best period costume worn by a vehicle’s owner), plus the Genevieve Gilmore Preservation Award and the Donald & Genevieve Gilmore Award (Best of Show). Activities will include start-up demos featuring steam Cars and Model T's, plus a “Parade through the Decades” with each decade represented on the show field.

Admission Rates:
Show Car Admission: $10 /car
Vendor Admission: $20/space
Spectator Admission: $12/person

Pre-registration (click here to download registration form) is now available and will end on May 13th. Only original stock vehicles will be eligible to participate, no modified or hot rod style vehicles please. Cars must be on the show field for judging by 10:00am, an award and presentation ceremony will be held at 3:00pm. A Driving Tour will be held for participating vehicles on Friday, May 20th in addition to the show on Saturday, May 21st.

There is also a room block available at the Four Points by Sheraton (3600 East Cork Street, Kalamazoo, MI) for our out of town guests for Thursday, Friday and Saturday May 19, 20 & 21.
