Beauty and Balance – Precision and Perfection Art in Motion

Beautiful scenic Door County

Diverse passions for infamous sports cars and contemporary glass are united in an event that fuses the human desire for beauty and balance with a demand for precision and perfection. What results is a truly unique and inspiring experience to benefit education programs at the Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass in Neenah, Wis.

The event will be held in Wisconsin’s Fox River Valley from Oct. 9-11, 2015. Your weekend begins Friday, Oct. 9, at Liberty Hall in Appleton. You’ll be entertained with dinner and discussion with world-renowned master glass artist Lino Tagliapietra, and Wayne Obry, founder of Motion Products Inc., the world-renowned restoration and parts source best known for its work with Ferraris. Mix in a live auction and a little singing and dancing by Daddy D Productions, and you’ll have a superb evening.

Saturday, Oct. 10, features a traditional fall drive around the scenic Door County Peninsula hosted by Motion Products Inc. You will enjoy stops at glass studios and galleries and lunch at Rowleys Bay. Finish the day at Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass in Neenah with wine and appetizers as you socialize with the artist, Lino Tagliapietra and view his stunning exhibition.

On Sunday, Oct. 11, visit the museum for gallery walks with the artist through the exhibition "Transcending Time: A Survey of Works in Glass by Italian Maestro Lino Tagliapietra."

Proceeds from this special event will benefit programming at Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass, an accredited art museum located in the Fox Cities region of Wisconsin, 200 miles north of Chicago. The art museum opened in 1959 to house the most representative collection of glass paperweights in the world and now has expanded its collection to include antique Germanic drinking vessels, Victorian art glass and contemporary studio glass. The museum focuses programming solely on glass, offering temporary exhibitions in this captivating medium. The Glass Studio at Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass offers public instruction in flame working and kiln-formed glass making techniques throughout the year for youth and adults. General admission is free for everyone, always.

Wayne Orby from Motion Products Inc. will be speaking, and there will be cars on display as well.

The fall drive is open to all makes and model cars. The philosophy is to drive whatever you want whether it’s a station wagon or Ferrari – the drive is about getting your car out for one last drive before winter and hanging out with friends and other enthusiasts.
