Congress of Motorcars will wrap up the fall season at the Gilmore Car Museum on October 16th

Pre-1943 autos will be the center of attention aside the magnificent fall colors of Michigan on October 16th.

Hickory Corners, Mich. - The Gilmore Car Museum is closing out the car show season with the rescheduled Congress of Motorcars and Gilmore fall colors driving tour on Saturday, October 16th.

Congress of Motorcars and Fall Colors Driving Tour on Saturday, October 16th

The Congress of Motorcars features historic vehicles produced in 1942 and earlier. The event day will run from 9:00am – 4:00 pm ET on Saturday, October 16th, and includes opportunities for guests to:

  • Enjoy FREE rides for children and museum guests in antique cars
  • See early gas, steam and electric autos driving around the historic campus
  • Play vintage carnival games
  • Tour the Ford Model T garage
  • Experience the Gilmore 1- and 2-cylinder motor challenge
  • Hear era-appropriate live music, and see car owners in period dress
  • Participate in a optional Fall Colors Driving Tour at 10:30am (all years, makes, and models of cars welcome)
  • See the Pass In Review parade at 1:00pm

Owners of Classic 1942 & Earlier Vehicles Can Pre-Register and Show Their Cars for FREE!

It’s their way of thanking owners for sharing their historic vehicles with the community, to help educate and inspire our next generation of car lovers.

Congress of Motorcars features vehicles produced in 1942 and earlier, just like museum founder Donald Gilmore was known for collecting. Only original, stock-appearing vehicles are eligible to participate. No modified or hot rod style vehicles, please. The show will include early gas, steam and electric autos driving around the historic campus. Owners can Pre-Register their vehicles online at GilmoreCarMuseum.org.

Owners of 1942 & earlier vehicles are also welcome to register for an exclusive Congress of Motorcars driving tour taking place from 9:00am – 3:00pm on Friday, October 15th.

Admission to Museum during Congress of Motorcars

Daily walk-in admission includes access to all museum indoor buildings and galleries, as well all activities taking place on the grounds for the Congress of Motorcars show. As always, children age 10 and under are FREE at Gilmore Car Museum:

  • Adults / Seniors: $16
  • Youth (ages 11-17): $11
  • Children (10 and under): FREE
  • Active Military (must present ID): FREE
  • Consecutive two-day passes: $28
  • Free parking
