ORLANDO, Fla. —  Automobiles have come a long way since the invention of the first automobile in 1886. World Automobile Day on January 29 celebrates the innovation the industry has seen since that first patent was filed.

In Orlando, car lovers can take a trip through the history of the automotive industry and see vehicles from a variety of decades and countries at the Orlando Auto Museum at Dezerland Park.

If you haven't explored the country's largest auto museum at Florida's largest indoor theme park, now's the time! The Orlando Auto Museum at Dezerland Action Park is home to more than 2,000 vehicles worth over $200 million, so there's always a new vehicle to discover.

From Buckingham Palace and across Europe to the shores of Cuba and Main Street USA — the Auto Museum showcases vehicles from all around the world.

The Buckingham Palace exhibit features classic cars from the United Kingdom including Rolls Royce, Jaguars, Bentleys, and more. Known for it’s colorful, classic cars — guests can see vehicles from the streets of Cuba or vintage Americana cars from Main Street USA. The Cars of Europe pavilion is home to vehicles from Italy, Germany, Sweden, Russia, Netherlands and more.

The Orlando Auto Museum has plenty of cars to impress movie lovers too! The museum is home to replicas of famous vehicles, like The Mystery Machine from “Scooby Doo”, The DeLorean from “Back to the Future,” an Ecto-1 from “Ghostbusters” and many more.

Not to mention some vehicles that were actually used on screen, like one of the stunt cars used in “Fast & Furious 4” or two Batmobiles in the museum’s very own Bat Cave.

Military Pavilion

To pay respect to our country’s military history, guests can visit the Military Pavilion to see vehicles from America and its allies past wars and conflicts. The pavilion features a DUKW amphibious vehicle that was used by the United States in World War II and other historic combat vehicles.

After exploring the Orlando Auto Museum guests can also enjoy meals from a variety of cuisines in Dezerland Action Park’s food hall and explore the other indoor attractions, including Florida's longest indoor go-kart track, a laser tag maze, a virtual reality arena and more.
