CARLISLE, Pa. – Carlisle Events will wrap up its 2013 Pennsylvania-based schedule with the annual Fall Carlisle weekend Oct. 2-6 at the Carlisle, Pa., Fairgrounds and Carlisle Expo Center. The 40th offering of Fall Carlisle, an event that launched Carlisle Events as a company in 1974, features a five-day swap meet and car corral as well as a two-day auction presented by Auctions America. The auction runs Oct. 3-4.
Fall Carlisle features 8,100 vending spaces and cars for sale by owner via the car corral, sponsored by Auto Trader Classics.
In addition to the shopping fun, just blocks away, the Carlisle Expo Center hosts Auctions America and its collector car auction. This year’s event is the third Fall Carlisle offering for Auctions America. In total, some 300 rides are expected and they’ll range from early classics to recent muscle as well as many unique offerings in between. As the auction and event weekend draw near, two showcase-worthy cars have already been consigned, a 1970 Chevy Camaro Z-28 Coupe and a 1962 Ford Galaxie G-Code.
Enthusiasts looking to participate in the weekend can do so in one of many ways. To be part of the swap meet or car corral, vendors are encouraged to call 717-243-7855. Consignments are coming in daily and anyone wishing to consign a vehicle or register to be a bidder may do so by calling an auctions specialist at Auctions America at 877-906-2437.
The 2013 version of Fall Carlisle is also the final co-branded offering between Carlisle Events and Auctions America. Beginning with Spring Carlisle in 2014, Carlisle Auctions returns. In doing so, Carlisle will introduce its “Free Unless Sold” policy as well as its new “Spotlight Car” designation. For details, contact Carlisle Events’ auction specialist Denny Baish at 717-243-7855 ext. 167.
Admission for Fall Carlisle is $10 through Saturday, $5 on Sunday and kids 12 and under are admitted free. A weekend adult pass is available for $30, allowing unlimited access to the grounds over the course of the event.
