Carlisle gears up for spectacular Spring Show and Swap

CARLISLE, Pa. — The future of the automotive hobby is on display at Spring Carlisle along with a wide array of automotive history as part of the event weekend that draws nearly 100,000 enthusiasts. Spring Carlisle runs April 24-April 28 and showcases a collector car swap meet, car corral and two-day auto auction.
Attendees can browse 8,100 vending spaces, many of which are filled with restoration and aftermarket parts within the swap meet. In addition to vendors showcasing their wares, multiple partners will be on site to create a unique Manufacturers Midway. A complete list of midway partners will be available online.
Along with the swap meet, the car corral boasts more history on display. Thousands of collector cars grace the east side of the grounds and are for sale by owner. Deal directly with the owner in a face-to-face setting and consummate the transaction within hours via Orrstown Bank’s onsite financing, while Sollenberger’s Messenger Services offers tag and title service.
More history is showcased on Thursday and Friday at the nearby Carlisle Expo Center during the two-day collector car auction. For the third consecutive year, Auctions America comes to Carlisle to present nearly 300 cars plus memorabilia for sale to the highest bidder.
As the perfect complement to the history coming to Carlisle for the 37th year, the future will be showcased courtesy of the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow engine challenge. This year, teams will compete once more for scholarship money and a trip to the finals by tearing down and re-building a small-block engine. Unlike years past, however, the finals will take place in December rather than October and will be held at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) event in Indianapolis, instead of SEMA in Las Vegas.
