NOMINATE YOUR CAR FOR our "RE-MADE IN AMERICA" EXHIBIT
The Saratoga Automobile Museum is currently accepting applications from enthusiasts throughout the region who would like to see their vehicles featured in the upcoming "RE-MADE IN AMERICA" exhibit, set to run through the 2013/2014 winter season.
Inspired by the eye-catching vehicles of all types and ages that turned out for the museum's recent Spring Invitational and Auto Show, the exhibit will fill the main Golub Gallery with restored cars, trucks and motorcycles and a variety of "repurposed" vehicles ranging from hot rods to custom cars.
"The key to being selected is interest," offered museum trustee and exhibit committee member Ron Hedger. "When we introduced the Invitational and Auto Show winners in May, they ranged from hot rods to restored antiques and classics to a VW camper bus. But all the winners, and dozens of others on hand, turned the heads of both spectators and participants. We feel that there are scores of cars in the region worthy of being included in 'Re-Made in America.'"
The featured vehicles will be chosen using the following criteria:
(1) Uniqueness of vehicle and appeal to enthusiasts
(2) Visual impact
(3) Quality of restoration/rebuild
(4) Interesting History
The exhibit is open to both foreign and domestic vehicles of all ages, with the selected cars, trucks and motorcycles to be featured in an upcoming issue of the museum's Horsepower Magazine. The museum labels for the exhibit will feature a brief history of the vehicle, its mechanical characteristics and a photo of the owner.
Vehicle owners are invited to submit a short description of their vehicle, including what they did in the rebuilding process, and "before" and "after" photographs, to the museum for consideration. This information may be sent electronically to info@saratogaautomuseum.org or by standard mail to Seth Warden, Saratoga Automobile Museum, 110 Avenue of the Pines, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY JULY 8, 2013
