The Minnesota Street Rod Association’s “Back to the ’50s” show will celebrate its 40th anniversary the weekend of June 21-23, hosting more than 11,700 street rods, customs, classics and restored vehicles, all dating from 1964 and earlier.
Visitors also can see more than 350 swappers, 300 vendors and 300 crafters at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in St. Paul.
Highlights of the event include the Saturday launch of the 140-car Great Race from St. Paul to Mobile, Ala.; the MidAmerica Auctions sale on Friday and Saturday featuring 400-plus vehicles; a flag-raising ceremony Friday; a gigantic swap meet on Sunday; the Burnout Contest; the return of the 1955 Chevy POW MIA dragster; and, for all three days, a model car contest, the Route 66 Diorama, the MSRA Kid’s World, Reilly Auto Parts Manufacturer’s Midway and the Cruise-N-Arts Craft Fair.
Show hours are Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults. For more information, visit www.msra.com.
