Somewhere along the line this HMMWV was converted to a brush and forest fire vehicle. Now it's up for sale on www.bringatrailer.com. At press time, the bidding was up to $6,100, and that seems like a pretty reasonable number for a beast like this. According to the ad, "Modifications include an open rear compartment with a 200-gallon water tank, a water pump powered by an auxiliary engine, aluminum equipment boxes, a hose reel, a brush guard, a Mile Marker winch, a PA system, and auxiliary LED lighting. Power is from a 6.5-liter diesel V-8 driving all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. This HMMWV is offered by the selling dealer with an Oklahoma title.

"Diamond-plate aluminum tool boxes with tool brackets are mounted to the bed, which also holds a 200-gallon water tank supplying a pump driven by a Predator OHV gas engine. Additional modifications include an LED light bar, a hose reel, and a solar panel for a battery tender. Black steel wheels wear 37″ Goodyear Wrangler MT military-spec tires."

We're not sure what we'd do with it if we owned it; probably throw on a Rambo headband, go look for parades, cruise-ins or maybe a brush fire. Or maybe we'd just roll around looking for insurgents. There would be plenty of ways to have fun in this bad boy.
