The 2015 Symco Shakedown shook of two inches of rain on Friday to become a fun-fun-fun show with Betty Boop look-alike pin-up girls, outrageous bands and a gigantic swap meet. It was year seven this traditional hot rod show.
“Traditional” hot rods are those built with only equipment that was available in 1964 or earlier. If you don’t meet the “Symco Criteria” you might not get in the gate. You can, however, still park in the VIP Parking area.
This year the Shakedown started with bands playing on Thursday night. Friday things went on in spite of the rain. On Saturday, it was cloudy, but dry and with periods of sun. At night, the bands fired up again and the partying went on into the night. Symco is also known for its vintage camping area, which was filled to the brim with old travel trailers.
